repossesed in 2010

hi not sure if im posting this in right place but need some help i was repod in may 2010 but not heard a thing since iv a gut feeling i owe around 50000 on the shortfall.what should i do now it was with gmac

    Has your lender lost contact with you?

    The debt is still owed.

    go bankrupt....if you don't they will wait and wait until years later and out of the blue knock on your door asking for 100k....they have 12yrs to collect and pull out all the stops in year 11..
    It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
    Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
    If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
    If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
    If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
