SA online how long from submitted to received this time of year?

Never left my tax return this late before
but completed it online this morning and got the "submission receipt reference number" and was then expecting to go back to the SA home page where the "At a glance" would show what is due by 31/01/12, but it still says "you have nothing to pay", and then clicking on "Tax Return Options" is still shows "Not Received Yet".
I can sort of work out what's due from the calculation and payments on account from last year but I'd like to see the exact amount of course - should I be expecting 24-48 hours from submission to it showing as received and being able to view what's due or should I be getting on the 'phone....!

Anything up to 72 hours depending on when the database can be bothered to get out of bed. Occasionally submitted returns get chewed up by the database and deleted. However, your submission receipt is evidence that at some stage your return was accepted, so any future denials and fines will not wash so long as you keep a copy of that.Hideous Muddles from Right Charlies0

No need to 'phone. The online service is offline to the main SA accounting database - in order to inhibit performance etc problems. The payment details will be dragged back during Batch processing overnight. So the full detail should be viewable during tomorrow or - at worst - Thu.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
