Living in UK for a year and need a cheap loan

Hi there,
I live in UK for a bit more then a year but I need to buy a car, then I need an unsecured personal loan (5700£). Unfortunately all the interesting loans require between 3 and 5 years of addresses in UK to be able to apply for them.
Does somebody have a solution for me to avoid having to take my loan from my current bank which offers me 15.9 % APR !!!!
Any idea welcome !

Thank you,

Elya

Hi Elya, you're quite lucky I think that your bank is willing to give you the loan, regardless of the interest that you would pay.

My OH has been here for 4 years and we had to fight to get him anything more than a basic bank account - he had that for 2 years and they still wouldn't upgrade it, and forget any credit from anywhere else!
