What do you mean by bad credit?
Get a copy of your credit report from on or all of Experian, Equifax and Call Credit. Pay for the £2 statutory report rather than the free trial.
Do you have defaults, CCJ's etc? If so whwn from and for how much?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Frankly, with what you've revealed to us, I felt like saying "no" and leaving it at that. In terms of help, what you put in has a direct impact on what you get out.
However, I'll try to be helpful.
If you have adverse credit registered against you, late or missed payments, defaults or court judgments for non-payment you are likely to need time for these things to fall off your credit file, or at least to date a little.
A sizeable deposit may help to shorten the time it may take to make you mortgageable.
As and when, find a good independent or whole market broker after getting copies of your credit file from all three credit reference agencies, so he/she knows what they are up against.
