Hi just in case anyones booked a deal with Bright Time cleaners thru groupon the girl that runs the cleaning company has just informed me that she will not be honoring any more groupon vouchers and she has told groupon about this and they will be refunding customers money.I was supposed to get house cleaned today and would have still been waiting if I hadn't phoned to confirm with her.Cathy

Is this another example of deals being too popular on Groupon and the company, having gotten loads of cheap exposure/marketing, then deciding not to honour the deals sold?

Surely, when a compnay agrees to a Groupon deal they must know that it could sell very well

Desperate times and all that... just like everyone else, business owners are guilty of committing beyond what they can afford. The lesson for business people is that you NEVER take on a loss leader unless you very clearly stipulate a limit.

  • Hi I bought a voucher from Living Social and paid £19 for Bright Cleaners to come and blitz my kitchen with a thorough oven clean. When I tried to redeem the voucher the very rude woman at Bright Cleaners said I was outside their area and would have to pay extra travel costs. The voucher said that it covered all S (Sheffield) postcodes but she insisted that I was outside their area even though my postcode is S18. Living Social have been totally ineffective and as I refuse to pay the extra mileage charges I am now £19 out of pocket.
