Hi All,
Good morning.
I am having a battle with Capquest with regards to a purchased Debt from Natwest (ROYALTIES) account they have claimed to of purchased.
This started in December 2011 when I received a letter from Natwest claiming they have sold my account to CapQuest - the account reference Natwest have given in their letter is being paid back by the means of a CCJ being dealt with by Bryan Carter Solicitors.
Despite telling Capquest this information over the phone and providing them with a statement showing payments being made to Bryan Carter they are still sending letters asking me for the outstanding amount and are now threating another CCJ.
Capquest have sent a letter asking for £10 to release "Subject Access Information" , my account was placed on hold until the 25 December. I explained I had no intention of paying to obtain this information.
As of the 4th January I have 14 days to contact Capquest and resolve this issue - what should I do next regarding this?
Many Thanks,
Gavin

Could it be that Bryan Carter Solicitors sold the debt back to Natwest, who have now sold it on to Capquest?
I'm not too sure how these things work, but perhaps a call to Bryan Carter might clear things up?Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70

Hi,
According to Bryan Carter they still have the debt, and I should continue paying them as normal and not make any changes. They have no idea why CapQuest should be contacting me.0
