in Cutting tax
I was on emergency tax in 2005/06 and never got anything back. I have no paper work in relation to it.
Just read on here and it came in to my head! )
I have till 31st of this month. Could I just phone HMRC then look at the year and deal as required?

Emergency tax gives you your full allowances. but usually works on a non cumulative basis. So you're likely only overpaid if you changed jobs / had a period of unemployment. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
