Herbal Essence Shampoo 400ml 86p with ACM voucher

Herbal essences shampoo is on offer at half price in Boots and I got a 25% off shampoo voucher in the ACM.

Receipt shows £3.49 (full price) minus 88p (25% off) minus £1.75 (half price offer) leaving 86p to pay.

The 25% off voucher also works on the Men's Trevor Sorbie shampoo which is on offer at half price- I think it works out at £1.36 a bottle- 75% off!

Also there is a voucher for 25% off shower gels and works on some of the shower gels that are half price- definitely the Original Source brand- works out at 55p a bottle. Be careful though as it doesn't work on bottles labeled shower cream- so when I tried it didn't work with some of the Imperial Leather ones.

I went straight back to the ACM and also got only 10% off, the offers available for me had completely changed

These voucher offers don't usually work on products which are already on offer so don't be surprised if the till refuses your voucher as it happened to me yesterday.

I had this voucher on my ACM (when I was looking for the dental one which I didn't have!), so I may try this tomorrow in Boots if I remember.

For Vicx and OP, did you checkout via the self-checkout machine or at the till?

I have had tons of these 25% offers from the ACM and nowhere on the coupon does it state 'must not be used in conjunction with any other offer' 9/10 the offer doesn't go through at the till so I query it and the manager always ends up over riding it and I get it at offer price minus 25%. I also emailed Boots customer service to tell them how much of an inconvnience it was having to wait around for the manager each time and they gave me 500 Advantage Card points by way of an apology.

I went to a till with a person, never had one one refused but I have had vouchers for shower gel not work with shower cream as mentioned above

my card showed the 25% off but first machine wouldn't print so could only get one print out at the other machine

got shampoo for 86p assistant looked at receipt to check as didnt think total was correct

Got 4 vouchers - 25% off shampoo, deodorants, toothpaste and shower gel. Only the toothpaste one worked on "White Glo" toothpaste (with toothbrush and flosser toothpicks - after discount paid £1.69), went through self-service. SA said voucher doesn't work because there's already half price deals on the products and refused to over ride it. I'll try it at a till next time.
