Zebra finance have settle my loan and they where only authorised to take a monthly payment from my card
The situation is that I spoke to Elliott Barlow Operation Director on the 23rd December in order to make a payment of £60.85 on my Season book loan. For whatever reason the sum of £307.92 was taken without authorization. Which I was only aware of the next day when I went to use my card to buy a 3 match package deal as a Christmas present. I contacted yourselves on the 28th December to have this resolved in time for the New Year. I was told someone would call me back.
Now the predicament I am in is as follows. I have contacted Zebra everyday sometime twice since the 28th in order to get this resolved to no avail. Which is I why I feel I have to contact the directors. The impact it has had is as follows, the 3 match package is now sold out so I have to purchase 3 single tickets at an additional cost of £20, I have had 5 Direct debits bounce which accumulates to £75 in charges. My mobile is currently offline to outgoing calls as no payment has been received. My car insurance is has not been paid and I have 14 days to pay before it is cancelled. I also have to pay a deposit on a flat tomorrow at 9 am and I have used the money saved for that to live off this month. My credit rating has been detrimentally affected by the bounced direct debits, which may well effect my getting my new flat. I have now currently paid Zebra finance over £800. Now when I owe you money and I do not pay it in time, I get charged admin fees. You do not have the common decency to even call me back to explain the situation or even contact me. The only person in this whole saga that has been a help is Liam. I hope you review the call that I had on the 23rd December, and not the tone that Mr. Barlow takes with me. You will probably understand why I am furious with this situation.
I have since heard from the operation Director, His stance on the subject is that I agreed to settle the account. I was with a friend at the time and at no point did settlement of the load come up. Mr. Barlow says that the calls are not recorded and it is my word against his.
Please can you offer advice on this

If you have a complaint I would put in in writing to Zebra rather than try making any more calls. If their calls are not recorded you may well struggle to prove what was agreed. Did you take a reference number during the call from them for the £60 payment you authorised? Your friend hearing your half of the call will have no bearing and Iwouldn't mention that in a complaint letter just stick to the issue..
Your bounced direct debits are likely to impact on your detailed credit file. However in terms of a credit check for a new flat this would not be visible this information - landlords/letting agents etc only search the public information (that is CCJs, a record of bankruptcy, IVA etc), they are unable to see detailed information as to how you run your credit accounts.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks the flat issues.
So due to not being recorded I have not got a leg to stand on0 -
lol, nice to see this thread crossing over to one of those pun-tastic ones!
As for OP, I guess what Tixy says, you'd need to make an official complaint in writing (recorded) and pursue it from there.“In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing at all.” - Roosevelt0 -
