Is this typical of your monthly spend on this card? Because you could only qualify for a maximum of £19.44 cashback even if you only used it at a qualifying petrol station all the time (ie get the max 3% cash back).

Is it really worth paying a fee to have it? I know it doesn't save you much but it is a waste and is costing you money.

That's the figure that is on it currently. I spent over £400 on it last month on petrol, groceries etc.

You say your phone contract is £41 + £6 data....but your SOA says its £62.31? That doesn't add up. There is nothing you can do until you're at least half way through your contract.
I would forget the 2 holidays a year for this year, that'll give you nearly £60 extra.

There have been other data charges etc from using it abroad.

I won't forget the holidays but I will look to do them cheaper than I have. Sun £9.50 holidays etc. I do have to have something to look forward too.
  • Cancelled the gym a short while ago and should get a final statement in a few days time. Need to get my trainers on instead and get some running done.

Thanks for all your advice and tips, hope there's more to come. Has been a bit hard to see some of the comments but I will use them to cut down my spending so I can attack my debts better.

There are many credit cards that charge no monthly fee. Well done on paying it off in full each month.

Virgin card is run by MBNA so you won't be able to transfer the MBNA balance to it. You need a contingency plan in case you don't get the virgin card.

Can you find some way to pay off the MBNA balance by using your holiday money and then see if you can transfer the Nat West balance to it otherwise you are going to get hammered on the Nat West interest.

Basically you have over 100 pounds in the entertainment category, the gym (now cancelled), 60 of food at work a month and you are wanting to spend over 50 a month on holidays.
The good news is that you can have some of these things, but you can't really afford all of them at the levels you are currently spending - obviously what to cut and how much to cut back is up to you.
