I dont know how else to spread the word but as was reported in the news McDonaghs Furniture are closing, they are selling off all stock at really mad low prices. They're based in Portadown and as far as I know this is going to continue to the end of March
Hope it helps some people

Whereabouts is it? I can't find it in the phone book or Yell.com.0

Obins Street? They seem to be a manufacturer. Are they open to the public? Sorry if it is a stupid question, but I don't know of them. I am Co. Down and I wouldn't want to make the journey if I couldn't get in.0

Thanks for the tip Cathy 2702. I've just passed it on to my brother who is in the process of separating from his wife and he's going to need some new stuff when he gets a new place. Cheap bargains will be a huge help. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi Cathy2702
I'm just wondering if you know how the McDonagh sale is progression. I need to get quite a bit of furniture, but no point in going all the way to Portadown if they have nothing left! Are they actually taking orders at knock down prices, or are they selling off things that are already made?
Thanks.

Contacted McDonagh's today said they cannot take orders unless you are a retailer. They have a shop which is open to the public and they have not reduced there prices. Does anyone know what the story is? I was going to go today but feel it could be a waste of time. Just into a new house and could be doing with some bargains!0

Cath info has been great maybe it was just a disgruntled receptionist. How can i order and get prices etc? New house new baby really could be doing with some cheap furniture.
Thanks0 -
I don't want to put you to any bother! If you happen to be in again i would be really grateful if you could get me prices for large oak table and chairs, one that extends. TV unit, living room display unit (large), lamp tables and bedroom furniture don't need wardrope. Thanks a million don't fancy the thought of taking 3 children if they don't have what i need. :A0

Does anyone know when McDonagh's are open? We went today (Sat) to the place in Obins Street but it was closed.
Thanks0 -
From their website - maybe give them a call before your next visit to them to ensure that their hours haven't changed due to their imminent closure:
