My OH is not happy that I have brought 40 metres worth of wrapping paper lol..
Don't think I will be telling him we also have christmas cards now for 2012, 2013 and 2014 :rotfl:
We have a medium sized store. There is a massive flagship store about ten minutes drive away but I didn't trust myself to go there as I've really got no more room to put anything at home! :rotfl:Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Just got £10 worth of stuff for under a fiver!
Good deal!0 -
Hi all
I realise that the quality of the wrapping paper from Tesco is very good, but don't forget the poundshops near Christmas if there happen to be any close by where you live.
I always get some great bargains on wrapping paper and it's rarely been poor quality (surprisingly). This year they had some really lovely 10m rolls of paper and packs of matching tags (£1 each of course). I haven't spent more than a fiver in wrapping paper for a long time and I always have plenty to wrap
and some paper and tags left over at the end for the next year. 0 -
The crackers that are £2.50 online (gold script) I got for £1.25 instore I got the wrapping paper for 2-p a roll buy 2 get 1 free, great bargains

I bought Christmas crackers from Tesco today at 75% off. All the Christmas stuff was 75% off and any 3 for 2 offers still applied, so 50% off from Tesco Direct is not a good deal, sorry.0

Thanks for your input and without meaning to sound rude I have allready stated a few times in my posts that most items are 75% off in store (I don't think every store is selling at 75% off as not all christmas items in my store are 75% off YET) - so if you do have a store near you with lots of stock go there before going to direct.
My store however is not scanning christmas items as 3 for 2, nor does it have much stock left. Hense why I posted this to help someone if their local store has no stock/they don't live close enough to a tesco to justify going to get stuff even if its cheap. (personally I could go to a bigger store/other supermarkets to try & get a chepaer deal but I just don't have the time to go to every supermarket within a 10 mile radius!) Its great for you that you have that time to spare.
Clearly 2p wrap on 3 for 2 is better than 75p wrap but I posted to try to help people not rip people off. Not all grabbits are 'amazing' deals - its personal preference and personally I would rather get stuff half price than pay full price next christmas - If I could I would go last minute to all the big supermarkets and chain stores selling wrap/cards/crackers/decs off for next to nothing, but as I said before I just don't have time, so am settling for 1/2 price, cashback and free pickup.
Like I said before, not all grabbits are amazing deals where you are getting things for next to nothing- I was just trying to help people like everyone else that posts on this board - If you don't have anything nice/constructive to say that hasnt allready been said then its probably best you keep your opinions to yourself.0
