Cheapest facial tissues?

I buy Tesco value facial tissues. They're the smaller size, not mansize, and you get 150 in a box. A box costs currently costs 45p (not sure why but the price seems to jump up and down between 30p and 45p almost weekly in my local store).
Can this price be beaten? I'm not fussed what size box or tissue, as long as it works out cheapest for the amount of paper you get... A quick check on Mysupermarket says these are the cheapest at any of the shops on there. Aldi's cheapest are almost £1. Poundshops only seem to do two small-size boxes for £1.
Tesco Value are probably already the cheapest I can get but thought I may as well ask around, as I seem to go through a box a week so any saving can't be bad! (Of course, next time they're at 30p I could just clear the shelf and save a bit that way

loo roll? .A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

A box lasts me roughly two or three months, so I wonder how anyone could use a box a week. However, every time I have visitors the same thing happens, all the tissues vanish in days. What do people do with them all?0

I buy Sainsburys, they used to be 29p for ages then skyrocketed to 45p (or there abouts- I was lucky to have stockpiled enough before the price jumped so no idea on exact price!)
I tried Tescos and found Sainsburys to be softer, there is normally very little in the cost difference or how much you get in a box so I'd recommend these as they leave less red nose and chapped skin then Tescos do.0 -
Sainsbury's Basics and Tesco's Value appear to be the cheapest alright. Sainsbury's Basics are also 150 for 45p.
You could keep an eye on mySupermarket to see if the prices will come down.
Mind you, I use Aldi's Solo Talent pocket tissues, about £1.80 for 30 packets, 10 tissues per packet. These are about twice the price as Sainsbury's and Tesco's facial tissues though each tissue does last me a few blows, especially this time of year. They do appear a bit stronger/tougher than most tissues though I find them OK.0 -
I actually find less soft tissues to be better for me. I think the Tesco ones are soft enough to use all the time without shredding my face so that's not a problem. I can't stand some 'luxury' tissues that send puffs of papery dust up into the air when you pull one out of the box as that just sets me off sneezing even more than before!A box lasts me roughly two or three months, so I wonder how anyone could use a box a week. I'm allergic to absolutely everything, I'm always sneezing! So I do go through them pretty quickly. And at the moment I seem to have a permanent cold so I'm using even more than normal, gah. A box a week was probably a slight overexaggeration but definitely two a month or three if I've got a cold.0 -

I used to be exactly the same, everything seemed to make me sneeze and it was like having a cold all the time. However, while lots of things seem to be a problem, it may just be one or two things causing all of it. When your allergies are bad other things cause problems when they normally wouldn't.
I visited my Dr who did some allergy testing (took blood samples and sent them away), from which I discovered I am allergic to dust mites. I also now believe mould spores too, although I don't think that was tested for at the time. Anyway, I vacuum a lot with a good vacuum cleaner, wash everything at 60 (kills the dust mites) and bleach any vague hint of black mould in the house and now I have had no symptoms for years, not even around things that used to be a problem (pet hair for example).
It's really worth trying to get to the bottom of it, I'm kind of annoyed now I didn't realise how easy it is to get tested for common allergies sooner and sort this out years before.0 -

Surely the object of paper tissues is to use it once then throw it away?
I get through about 4 boxes per week ( I use Sainsburys 45p) as I have COPD, would never even think of using one twice! You live..You learn.:)0 -

I too use once and throw away so I tend to get through a lot of tissues, at any given time I have 5 open boxes on the go.
I get mine from Lidl, 45p for box of 150 2ply.
Someone suggested using loo roll, I did that for a while but ended up with the skin on my nose and surrounding area all dried out.0 -
Well I am deffo going to ask my Dr for a test now, I always thought they would not do allergy testing because of the expense and so many things to test for?
Well, I'm not sure about the cost. This was some years ago now, but at the time my Dr suggested it readily.
As for the number of things you could be allergic to, it's potentially anything. Probability is very high however that it's one or more of the common allergies involving things widely found in our houses or surrounding environment, so dust mites or pollen for example.0
