This week's item: Here's a comfy-looking buttoned leather armchair dating to the early 20th Century, but in a style harking back to the era of George III. Was it an easy chair to buy at auction? What price do you think it made?

    A - £250
    B - £450
    C - £700

No joy again this week, so you'll have to guess! :o

Send your answer, name, full address and phone number to:

    Test Your Knowledge: Issue 7
    Real People

Week 4's item was a grand piano. Answer: A (£1000)

sorry answer is worong - should be BOSTON

Thanks IANHOW - can quickly change my postcard before sending off tomorrow!!! :T

Thanks of course to Oddies too for posting - errors and typos are inevitable and will always happen.......and it is only comping (nothing too serious :))

I know OP's like PM's for post corrections - but posting on the board as well is also helpful (well for me anyway :o) as I very rarely go backwards and look for corrections - I only ever go back as far as my last thanked post.

So Thanks to all contributors (in whatever form)........I certainly appreciate all the effort and of course occasional banter. Happy comping all :T:T

Dino & Pete would love to keep this prize to themselves, but fortunately for you they HAVE to run a competition for someone to win it!

Listen to the lads on Friday 24th February, they'll be playing between 4pm-7pm.

When they tell you to, text CARD to 83958. It really is as simple as that. You can enter as many times as you like.

  • Hiya postal peeps,
    Couple of BIG thanks
Thanks Daphne01 - another wrinkle cream winner here. Looks like a bit of a scary contraption though - not been brave enough to use it yet!
and thanks to PoohBear - i was a runner up on one of your Mizz comps - got two paperbacks Cinder and Legend.

Haven't been doing too many postals trying to keep costs down and i had gotten a bit behind so really lovely to have a couple of wins. To echo Firefly - postal thread rocks!

    Good luck all :T

HUGE THANKS! To all those who post comps and answers
  • We all make mistakes at times, me included and know that it is always better to notify peeps by pm as this way the op can see the mistake faster and correct it asap, but if members do say on the board instead then thats also fine and certainly no need to make out like they have done wrong in saying so, as mse says, be nice to all moneysavers :A
