Man.. could do with that emergency fund about now.. car engine blew up..

O well now I can't drive it, it will be scrapped a family member will loan me the money for my HP (interest free) to pay off and I can save myself that 200 quid a month now! once I've paid everyone back.

So I'm on the cheap cheap again for a while - good news is holiday balance is done, housemates birthday is over and I just have this weekend of events then nothing til holiday.

Reduction in outgoings+walking everywhere=richer and fitter (surely!!)

    Hola homies!!

So I've not been around for a while I think I got a bit overwhelmed by all the goings on..
Have decided to draw a line under all the rubbish money stuff from part 1 of the year and start afresh on part 2.. I'm just waiting for part 2 to start on July payday - first though I'm off for a week on my long awaited holibobs then I get paid then the fun really begins!!
I really want to smash this debt good and proper once and for all!! I figure the quicker I can do this the quicker I can have a good time without worrying I spent all my money. I dont even know really what it goes on (I do.. cider and fun stuff)

Think I may have a movie night soon and watch confessions of a shopaholic to inspire my money saving!!

    Hola!!

I got back from holibobs ages ago but wanted to get everything in perspective before I made a good post on here!!
So I did spend a little bit of a lot on holibobs but have rectified this month..
I have smashed just over 2k off my debt this year so far (the rest of the year will see this get smashed some more!!) and I have now managed to improve my credit rating and pick up a 0% card to transfer some debt to so I can stop paying interest on some of it yay!!

So here was what I said at the beginning of the year:

Inadvertently give up smoking (incidently have not smoked since NYE, not a resolution just haven't done it.. I even had a vino last night - just the one) Ok so haven't proper given up but smoke within my means (on a night out and only if I can 'afford it)
Not spend money on clothes (ok so budget this to £100 for the year) Have probs only just spent near the £100 mark but it was getting a dire situation (stinky offending pumps anyone...) and I've bought multiseasonal clothing that can be warmed up with leggings and boots and the only thing I will now need before winter is a pair of boots for work.
Stick to my budget that I made This was working lovely, but will work more lovelier now I don't have holibobs or events coming up and with 0% card brillianto!!!
Wait until the very last minute before deciding whether I go to Ibiza in the summer.. what do I want more - 1 last party holiday with the girls or to smash the cash off my debt?? I can't decide that one right now.. Not going to Ibiza (not this year anyway... lol)
Use my sealed pot to my monies in so I don't spend them Did this for holibob monies so now need to purchase new sealed pot to start again!
Get on Fleabay and sell my poop (not literally!!) Cannot get to grips with this so have stuck with carbooting!!

So far I think I've done ok with minimal effort.. so I'm gonna put some welly into it and get debtdusting for the remainder of 2012!!!!

    Whoop whoop!! Who's with me!!

Balance Transfer done!! Just need to crack on with the damn Barclaycards now especially after their recent hike in % rate.. but the future looks bright!!!! woop woop!!

    xx
  • Wow! What a couple of months it's been!! I got a nice little payrise yay!
So now must stop thinking of what to spend it on (although I am going to have to purchase real clothing items soon - nothing fits and I'm starting to look like a shabby tramp on a daily basis! The only clothing that looks ok is my PJ's and I can't wear them outside of the house without looking like a mentaller!)

Am also starting to think about xmas and the gifts to give to nearest and dearest.. am thinking of maybe concocting some kind of fruit spirits maybe but not sure where to start with that plan..

Am hoping to have enough pennies in the pot to get my bro a decent gift this year (he's really good at gifts and I'm poo lol) and my mum too - she deserves it!

Well payday tomorrow so lets see what we have for October!

  • So it appears 0% is catching... so I transferred what I needed to to my shiny new 0% card then old card says here 'fill that bit up again with a 0% BT until next year..' so I did so I can rid myself of the evil Barclaycards quicker!! They will be getting all my spare cash thrown at them until they shrivel and die!!

Have discovered the joy of Mars bar vodka so pretty much everyone will get this for Christmas because it's lush!! (and can be made on the cheap!)

12 days til payday and I'm looking alright at the mo.. good times!!
