Learn how to blow dry my own hair?

I've used the same products and tools as my hairdresser and copied her technique. Why can't I get as good a result as she can? I've only got a simple chin-length bob but it goes gently wavy when I want it straight and the sides turn into kisscurls. I get the fringe okay though so life isn't sooo bad. Tips please, pretty please?

She probably applies slightly more pressure and moves a fraction slower each time. Just not enough to damage your hair.
Why not ask her next time you're there?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Its all about the sectioning and the angle of the brush. Keep your sections very small, make sure your roots are dry, keep the brush fairly taut. She may lift at the root while she is drying, it depends what the angles are when she dries your hair. Plus don't forget, you will never be able to dry the back of your hair as good as your hairdresser, because she will be in a better position than you.Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs

Hi Tiara,
I've become a huge fan of how to youtube videos, mainly make up as I'm always getting stuck in a rut. I found this video and didn't know if it might help you, seeing someone blow drying their own hair, rather than a hairdresser doing it. Thought it looked similar to how yours sounds
