Comp win advice please

Need a bit of advice. I got an email on 16th December saying i'd won a £1000 chamilia bracelet and charms via the Boots Treat Street website sponsored by Ernest Jones.

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3625737

I had to email my address etc back for them to send to Ernest Jones for delivery which I did. They responded saying they'd sent it on. The email was from a marketing manager at Boots Treat Street. However, within around 5 minutes for some reason the emails going back and forth and all in one attached to each other just vanished from my inbox. Didn't think much of it because i could have pushed a red button or something lol couldn't find it in trash or anything though. Have waited three weeks which isn't that long in comp prize terms but phoned today just to find out. The people at boots switchboard spoke to someone in charge in that dept and said there was nothing they could do as if Ernest Jones sponsored the comp i had to contact them. Finally managed to get hold of someone at Ernest Jones who was also confused and didn't know who to get hold of and said if Boots ran it on their site they should be the ones dealing with it. They were nice but unsure as to what to do. They said a lot of comps are run and i should have recieved it by now etc. I'm confused and don't know what to do because there is no number for the Boots Treat Street Marketing department. Anyone have any advice please? Its not about being three weeks since i won because i've waited a lot longer for prizes, its more that i don't know how to get hold of the marketing person who emailed me.

have you checked your sent emails?
Could you have moved the emails to another folder?
Thanks to those that post the comps!!

Have you looked in your deleted or trash folder in case you accidently put it in there? Some emails only automatically clear out the deleted/trash folder after 30 days so your emails may still be there.
    Hmmmm, need new siggie
  • I'm tagging onto this thread for advice too -

I won a comp last month - a variety of small prizes - and have only received one item. Do comp winners have any comeback if the prize is not as stated?

    Hi,

It's odd. Within a couple of minutes it just vanished in front of me from inbox. I've searched all trash, spam and sent and its nowhere. Ernest Jones haven't called back. Its more the attitude of Boots Treat Street because i couldn't get past their switchboard. The person on it asked their supervisor who said it wouldn't be anything to do with them and to contact Ernest Jones. In all other comps any contact is always with the site running the comp. Have found a sharon davis marketing manager through google but no telephone number and the switchboard won't put me through. It's not a small prize or i'd let it go.

Just looked for it on fb. there is one but its empty. Just says go to app and when you do that takes you to the site.

Maybe ring them back and say you'll be getting in touch with the IPM, normally that does the trick, or ask to speak to someone higher about this! xxx

I Have just looked at the terms and there is an address you can contact, maybe do a recorded del letter to that addy,

After 04.12.2011 the winning names can be obtained from Boots Treat Street, D90 WG15, 1 Thane Road, Nottingham, NG90 1BS on receipt of a stamped addressed envelope.

That addy seems to be diff from their main head office, I'm trying to see if it a P.O box or normal street which could help finding the right place to ring x

Thanks Toniq and everyone for all the help. Ernest Jones rang just now to say that they did some digging and contacted people for me. They eventually got my details and someone has posted the prize out to me around 20 minutes ago. Was a good job i queried it all :) As usual you've all been brilliant !!!!!
