Unpaid debt, Remove default if I pay

Sorry this has probably been asked before, I am just curious, Is it possible to get a default removed on an unpaid debt £328 by saying that I will pay it if they remove the default.

Some debt collection companies will consider this.

However, if the debt is still with the original creditor then it is unlikely.

I've got to say, I've never heard of a debt collection agency having the power to remove an entry that's already been filed on a credit reference agency file. Sorry!

You can approach the DCA and request it, but they don't have to do it. And to be honest, it's very rare that they will.

If they do agree to it, ensure you have it all in writing. although, saying that, I'm not sure how binding their written agreement will be at the end of the day.
