Theres an offer currently happening in the Sun newspaper, can't remember if its buy one get one half price or buy one get one free with these vouchers. If theres quite a few of them going you may want to get in touch with Alton Towers direct they do discounts for large parties.

Also it may be worth them hanging around outside the payment kiosks just before they go in - because quite often a group with an odd number of people may have a half price ticket going spare.

PS... think the offer in the paper started Monday.

hi, if that's too late you can get 2 for 1's really cheaply on ebay at the moment, shouldn't have to pay much more than a pound. lastminute.com might still be selling them at £19 a ticket. if any of them are under 14 or 12 or whatever it is the cadbury wrappers can be used to get a child in free when an adult pays (my local shop has got around 10 choccy wrappers still in stock).

if you have any spare tesco clubcard vouchers it costs £7 in vouchers for a ticket but you have to post the vouchers with an order form then they send you a token. a few people are selling tickets on ebay, they go for between £11 and £18 at the moment.

people are also selling all kinds of vouchers on ebay. there are 2 for 1's, there are mum/dad goes free that can actually be used as adult 2 for 1's it seems, there are lots of £8 off vouchers (these are available in morrisons and safeway stores apparently) and there are also vouchers to get in for £15 instead of the usual 28. don't pay for those ones, i'll try to find the link - the sellers are only selling printouts from the link but i can't find it at the moment.
