  • Hi Dan ... I'm afraid I have :o. I don't know whether it just fails to pick up information or whether it's just not very user-friendly, but somehow it just hardly ever seems to hit the spot. Sorry! And thanks for the efforts to improve it.:)

Personally I do not care for the initial sterile stock images for sale look of the homepage, however some of the tidying up works.

When one looks at what the homepage used to look like, it used to have a unique feel about it, however for me the new homepage looks like it's been sponsored by the retail giants, Amazon, Burger King or Apple with all it's glossy generic stock Ipod and Ipad images and Apple deals and the English text aside the page appearance is replicated the world over. :(

And whilst I am on the subject of the world .... Me thinks someone moved their steering wheels! ;)

  • As a web developer, I'd be interested to know if you did any user testing for the new look - I don't mean just getting survey feedback, but actually having a few representative users come and undertake tasks on the site while your web team record / watch. And what changes you had to make.

I like the new look, by the way.

Only just noticed the new webpage title; so you're reverting to the multicolored subforumd that the original site makeover had, if I remember right. It looks nice, so does the picture, I think, it is too small to make out. Still not so sure about the layout of the picture (Martin's photo) though - looks like patchwork.

    this background looks nice btw
