Ink cartridges for Dell 944 All in One printer

Hello -
I'm after some advice please - I'm not very technical either.
I have a Dell All in One 944 printer.
Its running low on both colour and the black ink cartridges - which were the original ones it came with.
The ink cartridges direct from Dell seem very expensive.
Can I get them refilled at places such as Cartridge World?
Can I buy a cheaper cartridge that is compatible?
Do I buy a refil kit and refill the cartridges I have and how difficult is this?
Is there any other alternative I haven't thought of?
Many thanks for your help

I had an all-in-one from dell up until a monmth or two ago - got rid due to high cost of cartridges, there don't seem to be any generic versions (and i looked), plus it's incompatible with a mac.
Sorry, but my advice is to get rid of it and go for a more wisely used makeBut the banks are made of marble,

I think you will find that these are in fact re-badged Lexmark's All in One. The carts, as you have found are very very expensive, hense why Dell usually throw these in "free".
I remember one printer Lexmark done, was in argos £29.99. The replacement carts was £39.99
Personally, sell it on ebay, and but an OfficeJet 7300 HP. They are quite cheap, and you can get HP Compatible Carts, at well over half the price, and they are good also.
If you know somebody that has a Lexmark All in One, see if that cartridge fits. If it does, then buy some Lexmark Compatiable Carts instead of Dells over priced ones.
