What is it your trying todo, not pay or find out about ppi?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Guess you're right, but something isn't right with it I'm sure. For one I have never called myself 'Miss' always been a 'Mrs'! quote 'Personal Loan Agreement for Miss. L. Smith' yet the next page refers to me as 'Mrs'. Maybe I'm just clutching at straws!
(lol, obviously I haven't ALWAYS been a Mrs).
they have obviously cobbled something together to try to hide the fact that they dont have access to a complete original or the info from an original
but the errors have betrayed them
they can reconstitute a copy but it must be based on original information and they cannot do it to hide the fact that they dont have an original
in fact trying to pretend that they have an enforceable agreement when they dont is a breach of oft guidelines and cputr 2008
if the agreement they have sent is not a true reflection of the original then they are still in breach of the cca request0 -

I'd file a complaint with the OFT, and possibly the Financial Ombudsman Service as well.
Once Apex realises you've caught them out, and begin costing them time and money, they'll palm it off as quickly as they can.
Then, another agency will get involved - all you would have to do then is inform them (in writing of course) that you previously sent a CCA request to Apex, that it's still in default of that request, and no, they can't have a copy of your request letter.
That will then render that agency pretty much helpless as well.0 -
Well thats very interesting info, thanks all. Is there a template letter I should send Apex? or should I just state that Im still waiting for an original copy of agreement, not sure how to word it.
Also should I carry on paying them.larry470 -
Chanz4....I do plan on claiming back PPI, so was enquiring about both issues really.larry470

Sorry FTW didn't read your reply correctly. So am I correct in thinking that I should dispute this debt again with Apex after informing the OFT, due to not receiving a complete & original CCA?:cool:larry470

Personally, I'd just complain and wouldn't even bother with giving Apex the courtesy of a reply - there's nothing productive that can come out of contacting Apex.0 -
Thanks for all your replys, will make my complaint today.larry470

I'm going to sound a bit dense now, but can you tell me what 'cputr 2008' means?larry470

consumer protection from unfair traing 2008 - basically its a piece of legislation designed to protect consumers from unfair commercial practice and is in relation to similar european laws that were made.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
