Pitman Training...........

Having been a PA, and many other things as well - and having many levels of qualifications, I would actually give you some totally different advise to that which you are set on doing!
There are a few places taking on juniors, and offering apprenticeships, which also allow you to do various other levels of training - try and get on to them before you sign up for years of debt. There is NO guarantee that you will get a job at the end of it, and, you certainly will not be going in straight away as a high level PA - heck, even when not in a recession, with a Degree and Post-graduate Business Skills, and RSA exams of typing and short-hand - I started at the bottom and worked my way up!
It's a harsh world, so, take a junior job - work up, and study - people will be impressed, and, you will get there0 -
I popped into Pitman Training and was under the Welsh Government Scheme called Re-Act after being made redundant.
I was then given a selection of courses available and ended up starting the Microsoft Office Certificate, which most is a little boring and same old and much of which I already know how to do. BUT.... there is areas of lessons that I did not know about and will complete lesson 1/6 tomorrow.
I am hoping that this course will give me good stead into getting into an admin role!0 -
Best thing I ever learnt was typing. I still average 75wpm and I've left my administation roots behind.0

Contact your local FE College who will be able to advise on whether the same quals are available with funding. Also to let you know the Pitman office in Southampton has recently closed. Whether this points to wider problems I dont know but it has left a big hole here for office type training.0
