Hope you don't mind me resurrecting an old thread, but my mum's memory is deteriorating and I was wondering if any of you had any success with the folic acid? That is if you remembered to take it :rotfl:

I'm not a sugar person, but I can be a bit 'confused' at times, and it helps if I always do things the same way.

So if I were having to put sugar in anyone's tea, I'd probably get a routine going: once the sugar's in, I'd leave the spoon in the tea until I was ready to carry it through. Spoon in = sugar in. Spoon out = sugar NOT in. Would that help the rest of you? :rotfl:

Useful tip Sue. Another tip is that sugared tea or coffee smells sweeter. I had workmen in recently and couldn't remember which mugs I'd sugared and which not. They thought I'd lost the plot when I had a sniff of each mug before handing it over - but I was right every time !
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I read this thread back in February and started taking Folic acid , thought I'd give it a try... well its been 4 mths and I must say I feel that my memory has definately improved , even my OH says I am not so forgetful as I was.. I also started doing Sodoku every day too so maybe the combination of the two has helped... its not expensive so I guess I will carry on taking it as it seems to be doing me good...

I started taking folic acid about 2 months ago and havent really noticed any difference, that is to say my memory is still the same, so perhaps it is working.
