Hello all, just looking for advice really on my situation!!
About a month ago, I received a call telling me I won a wedding dress and it would be delivered the next day. :j I waited for a few days and it didn't show, so I called the week after and was told it was delayed slightly and would be with me the week after that.
When it still didn't appear, I decided to wait until after Christmas before starting to chase it up again as I know everything gets really busy. I sent a few tweets and e-mails which went ignored, so have called twice over the last few days. They were apologetic but all they could tell me was that they'll look into it and "try" to get somebody to call me back.
I am still so grateful that I've won and can't wait to get my dress but I'm just getting worried now about whether I'm going to receive it at all.
I guess all I can do is be patient and keep calling to see if there's an update but I just wanted to share my frustrations!

Aww sorry to hear about this, hope this info helps, taken from VelvetGlove comping guide here
7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.
If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.
The Institute of Promotional Marketing complaints@theipm.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star. Please note, the IPM was formerly known as the Institute of Sales Promotion (name change in May 2010) however, the contact info does not appear to have changed.

Sorry to hear that, most comps say allow 28 working days for delivery so it may be the supplier may be delayed.
The IPM would be the next point of call but depending on the company it can be a long process. I am waiting for a win back from mid last year, I was told it was sent, then told it was signed for by someone who doesn't live here and then ignored which makes me think it was a load of bull. The IPM were already involved and it took them several months to get back to me to say they are arranging another prize and closed the case. I haven't received the replacement prize either so I have to get them to reopen the case and find out what is going on. Some promoters shouldn't be allowed to run comps in my opinion and you certainly shouldn't have to chase them (not at least as long as I have)
I have found telling them in the past that having to chase them has caused you embarassment and to save yourself any further embarrassment you will be passing this on to the IPM to deal with if the prize isn't received within 7 days.
Hope you get it sorted, and don't give up!Comping wishlist for 2017
