Robinson Way & IND

Hi
New to posting on the forum however have been using this site for many years. I have a problem which i could do with some advice on.
At the beginning of December i received a letter from Robinson Way advising i owed £700 for an ex Abbey bank account going back to 2006/7. This confused me as my parents bailed me out of all my overdrawn accounts a few years back. I contacted Abbey to see if they could provide me with more information but they had nothing on their files. I then contacted Robinson Way to advise that I have spoken to the bank and if I’m to pay they will need to provide supporting evidence. I then received a letter from Robinson Way saying the accounts been put on hold whilst they provide supporting paperwork.
A week later I receive a letter saying that my account has been passed to the courts for judgment and I’m to pay immediately. I called Robinson Way back and they told me that my account has been outsourced to IND and I will need to speak to them directly. I contacted IND and they said they will speak to Robinson Way and they contact me back – No return phone call.
A few days later just before Christmas I get another letter advising that they are applying for an Attachment Of Earnings Order! So I call Robinson Way who say I need to speak to IND and IND say they need to look into the problem and call me back (which they never do). I contacted the court and really helpful lady gave me the contact details for Hegarty LLP and she suggested that I speak directly to the solicitors but when I call it goes to IND who either don’t do anything at all or never return my emails/telephone calls. To date I have contacted IND 3 times via phone and sent 2 emails – nothing back!!
I am really concerned that all this court action happening behind the scenes is going to affect my credit rating and I’m totally unable to defend myself. If I have a letter from Robinson Way clearing saying that the account been put on hold pending further investigation can they even take it to court? Also the total amount payable has increased to around £1400 due to the court fees etc. If its proven that I owe the money I would pay the full balance immediately but i cant afford the court fees as well.
Any advice would be much appreciated as I’ve just had a baby and want to get all my finances in order and I can’t be dealing with all this stress. I know Robinson Way has a bad reputation but this is just a joke i need somebody to take ownership so i can deal with them directly instead of being passed from one company to another.
