I've seen a few on ebay and some are selling for more than on the websites.0

I've been prowling on ebay in the hope of a bargain, but often they seem to go for more than the shops. I would definitely put them on.0

hello everyone, i have ordered 2 pairs of crocs from taylors and have not had to pay any import tax. Now all my family want some but i wondered if i ordered 3 or 4 pairs would that put me over the limit for tax free? Does anyone have any feedback on buying 3 or 4 pairs? I am wondering whether it would be better to do 2 separate orders of 2?
Thanks crocsers,
dawn. (mary janeer):A boots tart and tesco chick:A0 -
Okay EMPTY PURSE, we are all sitting here waiting!0

I was going to order from Taylorshoes, but I believe import tax is payable at 12% if your total order including postage charge is over £18.On top of that, you have to pay VAT of 17.5% on adult shoes. As one pair of shoes takes you over £18, I wasn't prepared to risk a charge, especially when Jadeshoes have Caymans for £22.49. I think it just comes down to luck if you get charged or not.
I might have got this wrong about the charges, so I'm quite happy to be corrected if anyone knows better.0 -
Jazzy_B you are quite right, the duty limit is £18 bu ton top of the charges you mention there is also a handling fee of approx £8-£10 if customs take an interest.
It is luck of the draw as to whether imports get stopped or not though, I regularly buy from the US and other non European countries and whilst I am aware that I might be charged I have not been so yet.
I'm waiting for my order to come from Taylor's so fingers crossed they arrive without being stopped...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Regarding the static electricity problem, this may have been caused by your Crocs - it's potentially a serious problem according to this:

Interesting that they call them plastic shoes, I thought they were resin but then maybe resin is plastic?
Just been told it is0 -
....Since I got back from Japan I kept getting electric shocks off the car door it was getting seriously painful too and I wear Crocs all the time. At least I know I am not going mad.
FYI - Crocs store in at The Bay Quarter, Yokohama, Japan is great and I think I was paying about £20 for each pair. The lady got to know me so well she gave me a pot of Crocs Butter as a gift not only at Halloween but when I told her I was returning to the UK for a while. Great Shop, wonderful staff and fabulous shoes.0 -
wow, what a picture.
