How good a credit rating do you need to be accepted?
  • Starting APR is 13.9% and yes you'll need a good credit rating to get that. If you have a fair credit rating you may get approved but will likely be with a higher APR. If you already have creation credit in good standing that will improve your chances.
  • Hi, just wondered if creation might consider giving a loan to someone with a default?
Oh has a default on his otherwise sparkling clean credit file. Has recently been given a credit increase on his vanquis visa card and is no where near the limit. He has a soon to end account with creation, opened in August 2005, which he has paid every month without fail.
Just don't want to risk him applying if their criteria is good credit ratings only.
    Thanks in advance.

Before you apply, please be sure that you satisfy these criteria:
You are aged over 25 years old and will be less than 75 years old when the loan ends
You have a minimum income of £12,499 per annum
You have a bank or building society current account
You do not have a history of adverse credit i.e. County Court Judgments (CCJs) or bankruptcy
You have been a permanent UK resident for at least 3 years.

Thats the key criteria they state on website, have no idea about defaults tho sorry x

In answer to the apr question, mine came back at 12.9%, clears a loan that was 21% tho  so more than happy lol
