Tip if you are going to USA or Europe ....

Join The AA (https://www.theaa.com) for their cheapest breakdown service (currently £32.80 for a year) and they will send you a Member's card, showing the AAA logo (Called 'Triple A') which can be used at many shops, restaurants, hotels etc etc in USA and Europe, to get great discounts. Info at https://www.arceurope.com

You used to have to renew your AA membership each year but from last year there's no date shown on the card they send you, so you can use it even after your let you initial AA membership lapse. :)

We've used it many times in USA and never had a problem - saving thousands of dollars in the process.

Oh ... and its useful if you breakdown too :)
