Yes i think for some things they are.
Milk is £1 for 4 pints or you can buy 8 pints for £1.80.
Hovis bread is 3 loafs for £2 or £1.15 each.
I don't tend to actually buy much frozen food so can't coment on them.
I buy buscuits from them (when i cant be bothered to make my own) and they are very well priced.
It's the cheapest place to buy Heinz soup.
Hope this helps.Feb 2012 Grocery Challenge £200/£4.00

yes, great for frozen veg, I also get their bacon, 3x18 slices for £6, and it's the cheapest for quorn chicken style pieces too. Also the Nicky toilet paper, 18 rolls for £4 and it's really decent quality!0

They also do mail shots with 10% off coupons (e.g. £2.50 off when you spend £25) - which are worth looking out for if you're planning to stock up.MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000

They have odd bits and pieces. Their prices on convenience foods are definitely cheaper than places such as Asda. The toilet roll is good, juices can be good value, biscuits and crisps and things are good too.
As has been said bread and milk is good too.Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Farmfoods are one of those places you have to watch what you buy, somethings are nice and cheap, there are some where they are good value but watch for stuff where they are expensive when compared to supermarkets.
Bread is a decent buy if you like Kingsmill, milk is a good buy if you use a lot of it, you can pick up some decent bargains on stuff like loo roll and tins, the frozen veg is decent value but I'd avoid the poor quality Dutch bacon and the frozen steaks.0 -
I buy the frozen chicken breasts, 3 packs for £10 (about 4/5 breasts per pack). They have square sausage too, which I like although the family doesn't. Avoid their frozen steaks/gammon/mince, full of water. They also do ducklings, 3 for £10.Light Bulb Moment: October 2011

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll move it to the Grocery Shopping Board
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
