'Preference Based Test'

I'm currently applying for jobs and I've been asked by one organisation to complete an online preferenced based test where I will have to respond to a particular situation based on your preferences on dealing with various situations".
I've done numeracy and literacy tests before, but never this.
Does anyone know where I can read up more on this test and also provide a site where I can do a practice test please?
The company they use to conduct the tests (gtios.com) has no practice tests on their site and I'm struggling to find anywhere online for them or other companies.
Thanks all.

Can you do a practice run under a false name?"Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0

No, you have to login in using the username and password you had for the initial application.

It is normally something like:
A customer arrives in the store to collect their order, which should have arrived that day. The order has not arrived. Do you:
a) Tell the customer it is not there and to come back another day.
b) Apologise to the customer and offer to help them pick something else.
c) Apologise to the customer and find out when the order will arrive.
You will either be asked to pick the answer you are most likely to do, or the most likely and the least likely.0 -

Ahh ok thanks for your help.
I really can't blow this though so if anyone has any sites in which I can do practice tests that would be much appreciated.0 -
They are not designed to be practised. You just need to think about how the key skills for the role relate to the questions asked. So, for instance, how do you demonstrate good customer service? How do you prioritise work etc?0
-
you should answer them spontaneously and without over thinking them, as this demonstrates your preference - for that reason practising is a bad idea...as massaging them into what you think they want to read can show up as potential conflicts in the results.
You cannot get these tests wrong - they are your preferences after all.
they then may be used to question you at interview e.g. if yuo prefer big picture thinking but not fine detail, then you may be questioned on this and how you manage it when you do need to do the detail (or work alone not in a team...etc etc...)0 -
Didn't think of it like that. Thanks for the help all, will just go for the kill tomorrow night and keep my fingers crossed.

As already said, these tests are designed in such a way so as to pick up on conflicting results. So if you go for what you think they want to hear it's often noticed.0
