Hi all,

I am a first time buyer and have been told Skipton Building Society offer good deals to first time new build buyers.

Ive just done a quick comparison on the system we use, there are cheaper companies out there if you are looking at price alone - but the difference in repayments is very small - maybe £5-10 a month difference on a £120k mortgage, but its difficult to get a proper answer without knowing the figures involved.
There is more to it than price, so dont take that as advice to use them or not.

But Skipton are a reputable company, ive used them before and would use them again.

  • Thanks for the reply.

The figures are £147k purchase price with 10% deposit on new build semi!!

Not many companies looking like they do 90% ltv on new build!!
