Selling old coins

I am looking for a shop in or around Glasgow which would purchase old coins - they are not very old coins - sixpennies and such. Thank you.

Don't know of any shops but there used to be a guy with a stall at the Barras who bought coins.
My dad collects old coins and keeps telling me that any silver coins dated pre-1937 are actually silver.
After 1937 they were made of a different metal, not sure what though.

Have you tried selling them on Ebay, i ask this because i usually buy a job lot of sixpences from there for my cards.
