Moulinex Masterchef 20: how to switch on?

I acquired a Moulinex food processor at the weekend. No instructions but otherwise very complete.

I cannot get it to go. There is a button at the top left back which looks like an on/off control but it does not budge.

I suspect it is prevented from working by a safety cut off device. Does anybody know what I have to do to make the mixer go?

Campden the lid usually has a safety catch so that if the lid is not locked in properly then the processor will not work. From the picture it looks like you have the lid on backwards. The food chute should be opposite the switch and there will be a little sticky out bit on the other side of the lid which fits in to that slot under where the switch is situated.
