A delightful series from Band of Gold writer Kay Mellor, Seasons One & Two of Playing The Field are released by Universal Playback on 29th January 2007 - win DVD boxsets!
The series follows the lives of the eleven members of a ladies football team ‘The Castlefield Blues’ from Yorkshire, who want to achieve their ultimate goal - to win the Women's F.A. Cup. The on-the-field trials and the off-the-field lives of the under funded, badly managed squad is recorded in detail, with their loyalty to the game and each other far surpassing their chances of ever winning the championship...
