Looking for Free Web-based Fitness Program/Monitoring

Options
Hi Everyone,

As part of my new years resolution I will be trying to get fit, yes I realise I am one of many, and yes I realise I try every year!!!

Anyway, this year I thought I might do better if I had some way of monitoring my progress, and thought where better to ask than the MSE Freebies Board!!!!

So does anyone know of a website that I can put in my details and see what progress I am making on weight loss, fitness, etc

Cheers for any help in advance

take a look at fitday, u can list foods and it calculates cals, carbs etc and also log your activities and do a journal. it does graphs etc etc so should cover everything u want.

it is an american site so does call things slighlty different to usand if u are counting carbs u have to deduct the fibre to get the correct total for UK

I like MyFitnessPal personally! There are quite a few out there though so give a couple a try and see which you like :) I believe caloriecount.about.com is a similar one but I've never used it.

I've known others use fitday.com and dailyplate.com and I also used to know someone who did the workouts for virtualfitness.com (or could be .co.uk) where there are workouts you download or play, they do a few different variations and each are around 30-60mins long. Other then that there is always weightwatchers online.

I like onlinefitnesslog.com as you can put all kinds of stuff in. If you are mainly running, then I'd recommend http://www.walkjogrun.net/ because you can programme your route and time in and then get detailed breakdowns of calories burned etc. and it also stores your progress...

Forget what I said about onlinefitnesslog - I've just logged in and apparently my 30 day free trial has run out! I wasn't aware I was on a free trial!

Another vote for Fitday; I've used it for years and think it's an ace site.

  • Hi. I have just started using foodfocus.co.uk. I like it because it knows brands and meals etc in the uk, like tesco branded stuff or wetherspoons meals (for example). I used to use caloriecount.org but everything was usa based. Seems good so far!:)
