Be aware when using the online JSA form - cannot chose Income or Contribution based

I've just found a glaring omission on the online claim form for JSA.
There is no section for the applicant to elect to apply for contribution-based or income-based application with clear advise on which they should apply for.
I was refused JSA Income based when my class 1 NICs are clearly up to date. They didn't tell me during the claim that I was being assessed for Income based so I couldn't understand until I recieved the decision letter, why they were counting my capital which i had in my business account for my corporation and tax liablities - which they ignored regardless. Having spoken with DWP Glasgow about the decision today - 3rd time. They informed me that I'd applied for income-based, which I wasn't given the choice on the online form to do or not. I understood that all applications would be initially assessed for contribution based and if they found there were not enough NI contributions for the previous 2 tax years, then they assess you on Income-based.
I've reported this on the gov website and request they provide a field within the online form to allow the applicant to select which form of JSA they are applying for.
