2012 - The Year COMP Clears Out Her Pockets

No one can accuse me of doing things by halves. I moved in with my (now) husband two years ago and since then have racked up over £6k in credit card debt. This is not something I'm proud of. So what has it gone on? That's just it.... I don't actually know. I can account for about £1,500 of it.
So. 2012. Last night I acutally struggled to get to sleep. Not because of the howling winds, but because of the claxon going off in my head reminding me that I'm in debt and need to stop before it gets out of hand. This level of debt is not unmanageable for me. The reason I'm not saying 'us' is because this is MY mess, not my husband's!
My new year's resolutions are:
1 - stop using the credit cards (yes, in the plural)
2 - get down to a healthy weight
3 - be more positive about the future

Hey comp - good for you making the decision to deal with your debts before they get any worse.
Our total debt is still up at over 8k at the moment but its slowly coming down!
I am also aiming to lose 32lbs by June 2012 so yeah dont do it by halves either.

Thanks for the welcome!
Funnily enough, all of the weight also went on when I moved in with DH. Ho hum. The difficulty now is that it's his 30th birthday in March and I want to get him something special, but I have no idea whatsoever what I should get him!!!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
