Thanks Old Tractor. I need to work on the budget some. I've begun looking at where the money goes...we have a joint account for the bills and that is heavily overdrawn too. A budget is on the list of things to do! And veg plot is a must this year. Considering chickens too .... and was offered a piglet for free but the boyfriend said no way!

Right pressing issue: what to do with horse feed? The elderly pony that died in November didn't eat hay much (he was over 30) but ate a hay substitute made up into a sloppy mess and ate a high fibre cube. Now I've been letting the Fell pony here "eat up" the food as I bought a huge stash of it expecting to be snowed in for weeks on end. Of course so far the snow has not arrived, the pony is in heaven and I've a lot of food. And the Fell pony is wayyyy too fat as the grass is still growing .... and the diet word has had to be mentioned. I'm trying to decide what to do with the food. Freecycle? See if an equine rescue would use it? Ask around and see if anyone locally wants it?

Equine Rescue. They usually have elderly horses and ponies and you know its going to a good cause.

OMG. I have just opened my mail. I sent my tax return in with advice from an accountant (I am self employed) and I have just had a tax rebate. That with my ebay sales, when all my money comes in will clear the overdraft (assuming everything I have listed sells - even if it doesn't I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had forgotten that rebate was coming. OMG. I am doing a happy dance round the office.

I need to re-think .... there is still the joint overdraft to clear and the our overall costs to get down and savings to accumulate ... but a huge chunk of debt has been lifted. I cannot believe it....but it is true.
