Tracing International Accounts?

Hello,

My late mother in law lived abroad and we are certain she had lots of different bank accounts although we haven't got any paperwork.

We have used mylostaccount in the uk and this has uncovered assets here.

I'd be most grateful if anyone can advise if there are any companies that do international searches?

Thanks

You need to narrow it down a bit - a worldwide search will cost a lot and she's not going to have accounts in say Bolivia. (unless that's where she lived...)

Start off with the country she was living in - you will probably need to get probate there and will either need to visit or employ a local lawyer. Most accounts should be evident through statements received in the post. And there may be an equivalent to mylostaccount there
