An inspiring, entertaining and informative event for London’s women.
capitalwoman takes place on Saturday 3 March 2007 between 10.00am to 5.30pm (doors open at 9am) at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre and Central Hall Westminster.
Come along to make the most of all that’s on offer, including:
A chance to question the Mayor
Workshops on topics from safer cycling and self defence to preparing meals with Spice Magic
An onsite enterprise centre providing practical business and careers advice
A wide and inspiring range of speakers
The opportunity to influence policies currently in development, and engage with the GLA (Greater London Authority) - we want your opinions and views
Organised group cycle rides to the event and hands on experience of basic bike repairs.
Entertainment including Funny Women Stand Up, film screenings and live music
Ethical shopping and exhibitions from fashion designers and Kulture2Couture
Drop in surgeries offering one-to-one guidance and information on domestic violence, money management, business and careers.
More details of this year's event are now available. This year's expanded programme offers an interactive experience, with new workshops, entertainment, and exhibitors.
