The 'Why Am I So Skint?' Diary

Hi all!
This was going to be called "The I want to go to Florida, think I can afford it but you never can tell diary", but I realised that's not my problem.
This is me - a single mum to a 10 year old octogenarian! Seriously, I swear she was born 80!
I decided that I wanted to take her to Florida before the 'magic' wore off, and so it's booked, the flights are paid for, and we're going. Nowhere to stay, nothing to do and no spending money yet, but hey!! I make it up as I go along (probably half of my problem!)
I've just done an SOA, adding in a hefty chunk towards the holiday, it shows that I have enough to cover repayments (not quite daft enough yet to put a holiday before debt), plus a surplus. So why am I so skint?
I will use THIS as my spending diary, and Ive signed up to the NSD Challenge - so far I haven't spent anything ALL year :rotfl: . Not sure what I'm asking for really, I guess some support in straightening myself out.
I think the diary will be the key, if I can put money away for a holiday, make all my repayments and have leftovers - WHY AM I SO SKINT?!!!

£50.53 Morrisons Groceries
£4.95 Slimming World

January is always and odd month, I get paid before Christmas, and so all my 'spare' money is already spent. Hey ho, it all makes for good fun!
The morrisons shop was a good one, got a few bargains, and other than fresh fruit and veg, and milk I shouldn't need to buy very much else this month.Oh for Goodness' Sake!! Here we go again

Another NSD - YAY!!!
However, I have just 5p left in my bank account. I have an overdraft facility of £200, which should just about do it, but there's gonna be a lot of month left at the end of the money

Not sure this diary thing is working. I logged in earlier this evening, all excited to report another NSD. I had completely blanked going to Morrisons on the way home.
How stupid!
Oh well, £11.35 - Morrisons.
BUT!!
I might just win whatever this raffle thingy is that they're doing. Likely? No.
Tomorrow won't be a NSD either, it's my friend's funeral, and saturday we're having a 'party' in is honour, but the money has been put aside for it already. (So does it count? Answers on a postcard please...)Oh for Goodness' Sake!! Here we go again

I would love to know where all my money is, cause I'm not one for shopping. I'm convinced the bank has been sneaking extra direct debits past me! Good luck with your challenges, having a nice goal like a holiday is great motivation!Taking on the world one debt at a time!!!
