will receiver take or chase deposit

Apologies for posting - chastised by others on dfw board - paid a deposit for some furniture which I cannot complete on due to money worries - have been trying to get deposit back without success and chastised on other board for asking a few times of ways of trying to get back or where I stand on the issue !!! question if I go bankrupt as I have been advised will reciever try to get deposit back as furniture has not been made and deposit is £2900 so a substantial amount - can anyone help please

    It depends on the terms and conditions that I'm guessing you would have signed when placing the order, and therefore if the deposit (or part of it) would be refundable.
