I dip mine in cold water just (and leave the droplets of water in) before I put the cake mix in and they always come out. Maybe it's worth a try?0

I tried the silicone bakeware and didn't like it, I also encountered problems with things sticking and in the case of the loaf tin I had the shape did not hold well in the middle making an on shaped banana bread, I have since gone back to my trusty metal tins:o1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

I never greased it or used paper inserts as I thought the whole point was that food was supposed to just slip out? Never had to grease my metal bake ware and I am not keen to start. Maybe I will keep the jelly moulds and find the rest new homes.
Thank you though for all the tips and fast responses they are greatly appreciated!
I find you do have to grease but it's really minimal - a quick spray of the one calorie fry light or similar spray will do the trick - one spray per muffin cup, a few per cake tin. You can't taste it and it doesn't add anything much in the way of fat or calories. I might try the dipping it in water thing though."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -

2 tricks to using this stuff.
Always put the silicone thing on a baking tray before you fill with your mixture. (or, if using in the microwave, put on a dinner plate first).
Always leave your baking to cool before you try to turn it out.
Believe me...... after a few goes of fighting with the things, I now love them!!! I never grease any more, because it doesn't do anything different if you leave the stuff to cool. I also never use greaseproof paper anymore either, again, a waste of money.
My oven isn't working, so now I am having to bake in the microwave, and these have definitely been a big bonus!!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
