TRY ME - Sainsburys

Hi everyone!
I was just popping some of Sainsbury's own brand frozen veggie chicken & mushroom style pies into the oven when I noticed a tiny little TRY ME logo at the end of the packet. It says:
TRY ME!
We're sure you'll love this product. If you don't, simply return for a full refund. Or, call our careline 0800 etc.
There's no address given to return it to so I'm guessing they mean return it to the shop? I've searched the 'Try Me Free' thread on here but it seems to mostly be for branded products running special promotions.
Has anyone here ever returned anything like this to Sainsbury's before? Did you have to say you didn't like it? I'm sure we'll love the pies but since they're offering to let us try it free, why not?! (I do feel a bit cheeky/nervous about lying though!)

yes if you continually abuse the system they will get wise to it and take action. Ive said pointed out various times to sainsburys(by email) about a few products and got a coupon as compensation.
Im sure you could get a refund on a JS branded product for years.0 -
I'm sorry DCFC79 - I don't quite understand your reply.0

I think you will find it on most supermarket products. Certainly asda and sains have offered this for years. 'try me, love me or your money back'.... sound familiar?Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Sorry but the whole point is that they'll offer you the money back if you don't like it. It may be me.... but personally I couldn't do this if I'd liked the product as IMHO it's dishonest - and if everyone does it, they'll in all liklihood stop offering the service .... and then if you do get something you genuinely don't like, then you'll have no recourse. For the first time I tried out Sainsburys Customer Service this week and was impressed. Mrs K bought a bottle of alcohol-free wine for the Jan detox - we poured half a glass each and would have been better drinking Ribena from a taste perspective - it was bitter, watery and certainly hadn't seen a fruit in it's life.
Returned half the bottle to Sainsburys and full refund given with no questions asked.0 -
k3lvc You have used it in exactly the right way. I have also done this once with something from Asda, can't remember what it was,but we found it pretty inedible. Refund given no problem.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

It's cool, I get it now
I think using the words 'try me' is a bit misleading as it makes it seem more like one of those 'try me for free' offers rather than a guarantee of quality. Whereas I'd expect all supermarkets to refund or exchange food that was horrible or on the turn in some way or another!
Pies were yummy anyway, I highly recommend them :T0
