For thee Cardiff Roller Skating Collective? I really really would love to give it a go!

We have a presents box, (My boys are 6 and 3) so it's full of half price Lego, Puzzles, board games - cheap multi packs of birthday cards 5 for £1 in Asda! And gift bags from Home bargains! :)

I did some DVD gift boxes for xmas for the girls next door, it had girly movies, glass bottles of coca cola, micro popcorn and cones of sweets in a basket with a movie clicker thing - they loved it and it couldn't of cost more than £6/£7!

Man I love HomeBargains, I went into town for the first time in ages today and popped in there and managed to annoy myself twice. First the Galaxy hot choc that my OH takes to work and insisted that I buy from
Tesco was there for 99p. Although it was a smaller tub it was still cheaper to buy 2 of them and you got more! Then when I looked in the kids aisle and saw that the exact same tube of playdoh that I bought the other day were a pound cheaper than Tesco  but since I'd already given one away as a present and it would cost more than a pound to go back to get a refund from T on the other I decided to just let it go. I did however manage to get the perfect present for my neice for either her birthday or Christmas at a snip of the RRP so that's gone straight into the gift box now. It's actually really handy being able to fulfil a shopping 'urge' by buying things in advance. I know that nothing is going to go to waste and I won't end up spending too much by panic buying at the last minute. It was a little annoying how ever seeing a toy I bought for my daughter last year for £30 being sold for £10 there! Oh well, you live and learn!

  • Feeling quite please with myself today, I managed to reorder my line rental for the whole year so that'll save us an average of £5 per month, plus I payed for it on the credit card so got myself some Tesco points on the deal and the money is in the account so it can be payed off as soon as it hits the statement! Plus I may have managed to get some cashback from it too although I'm not 100% sure whether it matched any on the cashback deals but we'll see.

I've also planned out my food for the rest of the month courtesy of Resourcefulcook, and I should only have to do one more big shop in a week or so to get everything in and RC seems to think that'll only cost about £20. Other than buying milk and fruit that's it so the whole month I should only spend around £150 on groceries for the 4 of us. I can honestly say that I havn't eaten 'cheapie' food the entire time either so I'm more than happy with that. That being said, I may need to look into RC's selection of lower cal recipes next because judging by my waistline I'm enjoying this food a little too much!
