unless your father can "give" you the deposit on either your new house or 25% of the house you intend to rent out

I have now decided to simply sell and buy a new home in conjunction with my wife.
I am about to come out of a fixed rate, what is thr general thinking around rates? Should I fix or go with variable rates. I appreciate that no one has a crystal ball but just wondered what current opinion is.0 -
Have you looked anywhere else to see what they'd lend you? it's just that when I was looking, Northern Rock was not one of the lenders who would lend higher salary multiples. I'm not really sure what there multiple is, but have you tried NatWest, HSBC or Nationwide, just to see if they can give you more flexibility in your options?0
