Thanks paulie, very thick question but how do I open a Hotmail account? I'm a Tiscali user and I currently have the 5 email addresses I'm allowed on my account (one in the name of my dog).
    Just go to
    https://www.hotmail.com
and register for a passport, loads of questions but you can ignore most of them, .
Feel free to open as many accounts as you like, they are free to use.(also handy for CD Wow vouchers!)

And then Hopeless should go to yahoo :D

    Any bargains yet anyone?
  • Anyone else get charged p&p even if they used that free delivery code? I think it kind of changed halfway through the sale to free delivery only on furniture??
  • Thanks paulie, I'll do that, it's always handy to have an extra email address (or 3!).

babybimbles, yes I was charged p&p when I used the code. I placed two orders on the morning that the sale started; on the first order I got free p&p and they charged me on the second which was placed less than an hour later. When I emailed them to query it, they said that they had checked my order and the second one had been placed after the offer had finished.

Please forgive my ignorance here, but my question is how to register new email accounts on M&S site. Do you have to use completely different details, i.e. delivery address as well as email accounts? Can you still go through Rpoints?
  • See message below.

What are M&S playing at, I ordered a suit, they accept order, Several days later they tell me they have run out of trousers and are just sending me the jacket, great!

    Laura,

What is the point in sending me just a jacket when I ordered a suit? A jacket on its own is no good don't you think!

I am extremely disappointed in the level of service experienced, how can you accept an order if you do not have stock of the item? Simply doesn't make sense.

I expect a full refund including postage and will be taking my custom elsewhere.

Thanks for your recent online order.

I am sorry to tell you that we have had to cancel the flat front navy checked trousers from your order as it is currently out of stock. You have not been charged for this item and your new order total is £33.50. I understand that this information will be disappointing and I'm sorry for any inconvenience that it will cause you.

The remaining items on your order will be delivered within the next 10 working days..

We update availability regularly, so you may wish to check the website again in the next 2-3 weeks however, if this item was part of a sale we will not receive any more stock. If you would like to order an alternative product please call us on 0845 609 0200. If you are calling from overseas please call us on +44 151 906 7902.

Thanks for shopping with Marks & Spencer Online.

    Kind Regards

Did you order a suit, or did you order separates to make up a suit? If, as I suspect, it was the latter and the items were part of the sale then this is fairly common with M&S as they do run out of some stock very quickly. I have to say I don't think it is that big a deal, and as M&S are usually very good to deal with I can see no issue with you getting a full refund.
  • So glad some one else thinks M & S have lost the plot. I thought I had bagged a bargain on the first day of the sale - a cashmere sweater from Per Una down from £69.00 to £25.00.

TWO DAYS later I had the same 'Sorry' etc e-mail. When I rang and queried how they could accept an order on line only to later decide they are out of stock I was told their computers updates are half an hour behind...... I lost the will to argue at that point.

  • It's all happening again folks, loads of bargains to be had. I have just bought myself a suede coat reduced from £149 to £39 (T49 2816).

Don't forget to use the following link which gives new customers £10 off a £50 spend:
