Advertising 25% off toners on their own website with a code, and not honouring it online nor thru customer services.
Wasting my time :mad::mad::mad:

Back to Amazon then.....they may not do offers but at least they dont try the bait and switch trick.

And of course I had to register in order to get to the code entry page. Despite me ticking/unticking both the "do not spam me, ever" boxes, I make it about 1.01 that the spam starts tomorrow.illegitimi non carborundum0

Supervisor on phone said "Yes I can see its on the website, but the offer is ended and theres nothing we can do". Four hours later, the offer (above) is still there.
IMHO this comes under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. According to wikipedia, "Breaking this law can result in a criminal prosecution, an unlimited fine and two years in jail".
3.5 Regulations 5-7 of the CPRs prohibit commercial practiceswhich are misleading (whether by action or omission)
Outright prohibitions
5) Making an invitation to purchase products at a specified price without disclosing the existence of any reasonable grounds the trader may have for believing that he will not be able to offer for supply...products at that price for a period that is...reasonable having regard to the product, the scale of advertising of the product and the price offered (bait advertising).
Misleading informati on generally7.6 These are actions that mislead by:• containing false information OR deceiving or being likelyto deceive the average consumer
(g) the price or the manner in which the price is calculated(h) the existence of a specific price advantage
So Dixons, looks like youre up for a spell at Her Majestys pleasure. Not only have they been publishing misleading information online, but compounded it by not allowing staff or supervisory staff to rectify the price/promotion when alerted to it AND not rectifying the misleading price/promotion when it is pointed out to themillegitimi non carborundum0 -
The offer is still on their website. Here is a link directly to the offer that they wont honour
Its on this page

No excuse for it still being up 24 hours after they were told about it.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
In fact, theyve changed the image since yesterday. How weird.illegitimi non carborundum0

And now theyve put the price of the toner cart up by ten quid, but the 25% off code is now valid.illegitimi non carborundum0
