I'm hoping there are some decent offers / bargains in the post new year season.
I am looking to spend under £40 and am wanting an mp3 player that:
1] has a screen to view menu options
2] has about 4-8gb capacity
3] will be used just to play mp3 music tracks
4] has drag & drop or easy transfer of files from PC to player
5] has the ability to navigate stored files by a variety of means (title, artist, genre etc)
6] has good sound
If there is something just right at full price then all well and good.
If there is something that exceeds my needs at a bargain price then that's fine also.
I am not fussed about ipods. I have an ipod now and hate the way it interacts with my PC.
I have done a bit of searching.
The best seeming offer I've seen is a Sandisk Clip + on Amazon.
But I'm open to advice / suggestions / tips.
Many thanks.

I've found the 4th Generation I pod nano was pretty good in 8 GB size (though I've since started using a blackberry with 32 GB memory card installed, since I like watching downloaded TV series and movies) - you can probably find a slightly used one in good condition pretty easily (some people will always upgrade to the latest model when it comes out). Additionally I-Tunes is pretty easy to use.Cheltenham Dude

This is just a random thought but my wife was rather shocked when she got a cheap Android Phone and found with a MicroSD card she could get rid of her IPod.
I think you can pick up a Samsung Galaxy Europa for £40 it comes with 1gb micro SD card.
I actually use my phone more as an MP3 player than I do a phonejakswan .co. uk Just me droning on about Gadgets and the Wife, two kids, massive mortgage, yes it is boring:p0
